Dear Friends,

January just flew by! I remember celebrating the New Year in Chicago, flying to Portland on January 6 and now find myself in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

The Lord blessed my time in the Portland/Vancouver area. I was able to attend the NW Pacific Missions Connexion, January 19-20, in Portland. One workshop I attended was called, "My Significance as a Female Finisher" by Ele Parrott, which challenged me to continue being a woman of the Word, faith and prayer. My significance --- my infusing truth into another person's reality in a timely and appropriate manner---comes as I know the Word, know the person and know Jesus. I was challenged to show up and be Jesus wherever I am called to serve.

The Lord gave me many opportunities to share with my church in Vancouver on “What Happened in Mexico in 2006?" I had the privilege to share with six home-based Bible study groups and four ministry groups (Singles 35+, Seniors 55+, Women’s and Children’s). I always come away from these groups in awe of how God moves each group to become involved in their own special way. Two gals from the singles group took me to a pedicure spa after hearing I am very hesitant to get a pedicure in Mexico!

The Lord also gave me many special times with friends for whom I will always be grateful.

As always, I rejoice in God's many provisions and in awe of His faithfulness:

1.       Providing a car for me to use while in the Portland/Vancouver area.

2.       My gynecologist giving me a year's supply of free medication.

3.       Providing a nice home for me to stay in for one month.

4.       A woman writing me a check for $2000 dollars after hearing my presentation. (This will most likely go to all the medical bills).

5.       Many meals in very nice restaurants and big homes (with no fear of getting salmonella) from very good friends.

6.       Providing me a support team that continues to be willing to serve in many behind the scenes roles. Very important people, without them I will not be in Mexico.

I flew to Mexico City on February 3 and then took the 2 hour bus ride to Cuernavaca.

Please pray for good health, positive attitude at all times, smooth transition (having been gone for three months) and time to maintain communication with everyone I left behind.

What a great God we serve and what a privilege it is to have a tiny part in Kingdom building!

Thank you for your part,

AV
