Dear Friends:

Some days here are more challenging than others.

I remember one day when I took the wrong bus and had to go back to where I was to go to where I originally wanted to go.

There was one day last week when Telmex (Mexico's only phone company) told me they cannot install my phone as there are no available lines in my neighborhood. (Who knows what this means?????).

Or how about last Saturday when I wanted to sleep early to get up early for church but my upstairs neighbor decided to play rock music at 2 am at full volume!!!!

These are just moments when sometimes I wonder, "What exactly am I doing in Mexico?"

About two Sundays ago, there were missionaries that visited Semilla de Mostaza (Calvary Chapel Cuernavaca).  Before I even introduced myself they said,”You must be Angie Velasco.  The Lord is faithful in sending wonderful missionaries like you to Edith's life.  Edith prayed to receive the Lord in one of our English classes.  Thank you for your witness".

Wow!  I have not even introduced myself to these folks.  Edith was my conversation leader for four weeks.  We read and discussed scriptures to increase my Spanish vocabulary.

I invited Edith to my Monday night Bible studies but she said she has English classes on Monday evenings.  Little did I know that God would use those English classes that the other missionaries were giving to lead her to Christ.

When those challenging days come, I need to remind myself,”It is for women like Edith that I am in Mexico".

Thank you for your partnership.
